The Oriental Knot, or the Simple Knot, as it’s also known, is popular due to its simplicity. The knot is asymmetrical, which some prefers, while others prefer symmetrical knots.

1. Hold the wide end of the tie to the right. Ensure that it is the backside of the tie you can see in front of you in the mirror. Depending on the length of the tie, the small end should be around your bellybutton.
2. Move the wide end behind the small end.
3. Then, move the wide end across the small end towards the right.
4. Move the wide end up under the neck loop at.
5. Move the wide end down through the neck loop.
6. Pull the wide end downwards, tighten the knot, and adjust it in place.
